Maureen Grier was born in New York City and has lived in Raleigh, NC for 25 years. She earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from North Carolina State University and is a certified teacher, K-12 in Learning Disabilities, Reading and English as a Second Language. She is also the handler of a certified (reading) therapy dog and the Vice President of the Raleigh-Wake Reading Council.
